Terms & Conditions

This Agreement governs your use of the Eventnet Vendor Portal and all associated services. By registering, accessing, or using the platform, you unconditionally accept and agree to be bound by these terms. This is a legally binding agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. About Eventnet

Eventnet is an online marketplace and technology platform operated by Eventnet Technologies Private Limited ("Eventnet", "we", "us", "our") that connects customers seeking event services with independent service providers ("Vendors"). Eventnet acts as an intermediary under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and is not a party to, nor guarantor of, any contract between a Vendor and a customer.

These terms are published in compliance with and governed by: the Information Technology Act, 2000; the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021; the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; the Indian Contract Act, 1872; and all other applicable laws of India.

2. Eligibility and Registration

To register as a Vendor you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into contracts under Indian law
  • Be the owner or an authorised representative of the business you register
  • Hold all necessary government, statutory, and local body licences applicable to your service category (e.g. FSSAI for caterers, trade licence, GST registration where applicable)
  • Not be subject to any existing court order or legal proceeding that prohibits you from operating your business

You warrant that all information provided during and after registration is accurate, complete, and kept up to date. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate account termination and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

By registering, you consent to receive transactional, operational, and promotional communications from Eventnet via call, SMS, WhatsApp, and email. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time through your notification settings.

3. Vendor Profile

Your profile on Eventnet may be created by: (a) you directly, (b) an Eventnet representative with your oral or written consent, or (c) as a shell/unclaimed profile based on customer reviews submitted about your business.

Shell and unclaimed profiles: Reviews and associated content submitted by customers about your business are the property of Eventnet and may be retained on the platform even if you choose not to claim or subsequently close your account. The public business name and contact information may be retained for informational purposes. You may request closure of an active business profile by writing to support@eventnet.in with valid proof.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile at all times. Misleading descriptions, fabricated credentials, or outdated pricing shown on your profile are violations of these terms.

4. Intellectual Property and Content Licence

You retain ownership of all original photographs, videos, descriptions, and other content ("Content") that you upload to the platform. By uploading Content, you grant Eventnet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to display, reproduce, distribute, and use that Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the platform, including on digital and offline marketing materials.

You warrant that:

  • All Content uploaded is your own original work and does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right
  • You have obtained all necessary consents from individuals appearing in photographs or videos
  • Content does not contain material that is defamatory, obscene, illegal, or violates any applicable law

Eventnet reserves the right to remove any Content that, in its reasonable opinion, violates these terms, applicable law, or Eventnet's community standards, without prior notice to you.

If Eventnet commissions or collaborates with you on a project (campaign, shoot, promotional event), copyright in resulting works shall be jointly held by Eventnet and you. Such jointly-held content may not be published on any competing wedding or event marketplace platform without Eventnet's prior written consent.

5. Bookings and Service Delivery

A booking is confirmed only after (a) full or advance payment has been received from the customer through the Eventnet platform and (b) you have accepted the booking in your dashboard. Confirmed bookings constitute a binding agreement between you and the customer.

You agree to:

  • Respond to all booking inquiries within 24 hours
  • Honour every confirmed booking without cancellation, except in genuine emergencies beyond your reasonable control
  • Deliver services exactly as described in your package — scope, inclusions, and price
  • Notify Eventnet support immediately if an emergency forces cancellation of a confirmed booking
  • Maintain updated availability in your dashboard at all times to prevent double-booking

Repeated cancellations of confirmed bookings (more than 2 in any rolling 90-day period) will trigger a mandatory review of your account and may result in suspension or termination.

Some customers book without separately signing up — Eventnet automatically creates or links their account from the phone number or email they provide at booking. You should treat these bookings the same as any other confirmed booking; the customer's identity is verified the same way (via the contact details on the booking) and Eventnet remains responsible for facilitating payment regardless of how the customer's account was created.

6. Commission, Payments and Payouts

All booking advance payments must be collected through the Eventnet platform. Soliciting, accepting, or facilitating any payment outside the platform is a serious violation and will result in permanent account termination.

  • At booking confirmation, Eventnet collects exactly 30% of the agreed package amount from the customer as the booking-confirmation advance
  • You decide the payment schedule for the remaining 70% of the package amount and must disclose it clearly before booking; the schedule accepted by the customer becomes part of that booking's terms
  • Eventnet deducts a platform commission from the advance amount before payout. The commission percentage depends on your active vendor plan and is shown in your dashboard
  • Big Booking Protection: for higher-value packages, your commission percentage is automatically reduced above set thresholds shown in your dashboard, so large bookings are not charged at your full standard rate
  • If you skipped the one-time onboarding fee (see Section 7), a flat +5 percentage point surcharge applies on top of your normal commission rate on every booking, until Eventnet has recovered ₹1,199 in total surcharge from you — after which your rate returns automatically to your normal plan rate. The surcharge on any individual booking is capped so you never pay more than ₹1,199 in total across all bookings
  • Payouts of the advance amount (after commission deduction) are processed to your verified bank account on a weekly cycle via Razorpay, subject to successful booking completion and verification. Your dashboard may let you select a preferred payout cadence for reference, but actual disbursement currently runs weekly regardless of that preference
  • Eventnet deducts applicable TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) in accordance with Indian tax law before disbursement, where required
  • You are solely responsible for issuing a service invoice or receipt to the customer for the full package value — covering both the advance collected through Eventnet and any balance received directly. If you are GST-registered, you must issue a valid GST invoice. Eventnet is not currently GST-registered and does not levy GST on its commission
  • You are solely responsible for filing your income tax returns, and your GST returns where applicable, accurately on the full gross booking value

No-Cost EMI: If a customer pays using EMI, Eventnet's payment partner collects the full advance amount from the customer's bank or NBFC upfront, in one settlement — the same as any other payment method. You are paid on your normal payout schedule from that full amount (minus commission and, if applicable, the EMI subvention below); you do not wait for the customer's monthly EMI instalments to the bank, and your payout timing does not change because the customer chose EMI.

If you opt in to offering No-Cost EMI, you authorise Eventnet to deduct a subvention amount from your payout for each booking paid via EMI, equal to the interest Eventnet's payment partner would otherwise charge the customer, so the customer pays no added interest. The subvention rate depends on the EMI tenure selected by the customer and is shown in your dashboard before you opt in. You may opt out at any time from Settings; a 24-hour cooldown applies before you can re-enable it, and opting out only affects future bookings, not EMI transactions already in progress. If an EMI booking is refunded, the subvention already deducted for that booking is reversed and credited back to you.

7. Onboarding Fee, Subscription and Lead Credits

Vendors may be required to pay a one-time onboarding fee of ₹1,199 before receiving full onboarding benefits (featured listing, grace-period discount, and other benefits shown at signup). You have two ways to satisfy this fee:

  • Pay ₹1,199 upfront at signup to unlock onboarding benefits immediately
  • Skip the upfront payment and recover it automatically: every booking you complete carries a flat +5 percentage point commission surcharge (see Section 6) until ₹1,199 in total surcharge has been collected, at which point your commission returns to the normal plan rate with no further action needed
  • Vendors who skip the upfront payment do not receive onboarding benefits (featured listing, grace-period discount, welcome credits) unless and until they separately pay the fee
  • The onboarding fee, once paid upfront, is non-refundable once account benefits are activated, except where required by law or expressly approved by Eventnet. Amounts recovered through the booking surcharge reflect commission earned on completed, non-cancelled bookings and are likewise non-refundable

Eventnet also offers optional paid subscription plans and lead credit packages. The following conditions apply:

  • Once a subscription is activated or lead credits are purchased, the transaction is non-refundable
  • Subscription benefits are valid for the stated subscription period only
  • Unused lead credits do not carry forward beyond their validity period unless expressly stated
  • Eventnet does not guarantee a specific number of leads or bookings through any paid plan
  • Fraudulent chargebacks on subscription or onboarding fee payments will result in immediate account suspension

8. Reviews

Customer reviews on Eventnet are user-generated content and the property of Eventnet. You may not:

  • Offer any incentive (discount, gift, cash, extra service) in exchange for removing, editing, or suppressing a review
  • Solicit fake reviews for your own profile from friends, family, or employees
  • Threaten or harass a customer in connection with a review

If you believe a review contains false statements, violates our policies, or was submitted by someone who was not a genuine customer, you may request investigation by emailing trust@eventnet.in. Eventnet will investigate and, if the review is found to be in violation of our policies, may remove or hide it. Eventnet's decision on review disputes is final.

9. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination:

  • Providing false, forged, or expired verification documents
  • Collecting payment, advance, or fees from a customer outside the Eventnet platform
  • Contacting or redirecting customers to transact on any competing platform after initial contact through Eventnet
  • Uploading media (photos, videos) that belongs to another business or was sourced without permission
  • Engaging in price manipulation, hidden charges, or bait-and-switch tactics
  • Submitting fake bookings, fake reviews, or manipulating your ratings
  • Threatening, abusing, or harassing customers, Eventnet staff, or other vendors
  • Using the platform to engage in any unlawful activity

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Eventnet Technologies Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the platform; (b) any service you provide to a customer; (c) any breach of these terms; (d) any violation of applicable law; or (e) any infringement of a third party's intellectual property or other rights.

11. Limitation of Liability

Eventnet is a technology marketplace and intermediary. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

  • Eventnet is not liable for the quality, timeliness, safety, or legality of services provided by Vendors
  • Eventnet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform
  • Eventnet's aggregate liability to you for any direct damages shall not exceed the total subscription fees and lead credit amounts paid by you to Eventnet in the three months preceding the claim
  • Eventnet does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access to the platform

12. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be in breach of these terms or liable for any failure or delay in performance to the extent such failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic or epidemic, government orders, civil unrest, power failure, or internet disruption. The affected party shall notify the other as soon as practicable.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

Eventnet may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for violation of these terms, non-payment, fraudulent activity, or any conduct that harms customers, other vendors, or the platform. On termination:

  • Your active listings will be de-published immediately
  • Pending payouts for completed bookings will be processed after any applicable deductions
  • Payouts for disputed or incomplete bookings may be withheld pending investigation
  • Reviews submitted by customers about your business may be retained on the platform

You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. Termination does not relieve you of obligations arising from confirmed bookings or outstanding disputes.

14. Dispute Resolution
